Privacy Policy
This policy explains how LabVault handles information. LabVault is designed to organize personal medical documents and laboratory results on an Apple device. CoGenesis Lab does not receive, collect, or store the records you add to this version of the app.
Information processed by the app
LabVault may process information that you choose to add, including:
- Local profile names, optional date of birth, biological sex, and notes.
- Imported or scanned medical documents, images, and PDFs.
- On-device OCR text, recognition confidence, page locations, and reviewed lab results.
- App preferences such as onboarding completion and optional App Lock.
Do not enter Social Security, insurance, or government identification numbers.
Where information is stored
Records are stored in LabVault's app sandbox on your device. Original report files use iOS file protection. Text recognition uses Apple Vision on device. This version does not upload records to CoGenesis Lab or a third-party server.
Apple may include app data in an encrypted device backup according to your Apple and device settings. Those backup services are controlled by Apple and your chosen settings.
Sharing and export
LabVault does not sell health information, share it for targeted advertising, use it for advertising, or use it to train models. Information leaves the app only when you actively choose a system sharing destination for an exported CSV or PDF. The destination you select then controls its copy.
Deletion and retention
You may delete an individual report or use Delete All Data to remove profiles, reports, extracted results, and local report files from the app. Because CoGenesis Lab does not receive this information, there is no corresponding server-side health record to delete. Device backups may retain an earlier copy until managed or expired under Apple's policies.
Consumer Health Data Notice
LabVault processes consumer health data locally to provide the features you request: saving medical documents, recognizing text, structuring reviewed laboratory results, displaying trends, and generating exports. CoGenesis Lab does not collect this health data off your device, sell it, use it for targeted advertising, or permit geofencing around health-care locations. The app does not infer diagnoses or treatment decisions.
You control local access, correction, export, and deletion through the app. Depending on where you live, privacy law may provide additional rights. Since this version sends no health records to CoGenesis Lab, those rights are generally exercised through the app's local controls. Questions can be directed through the support contact shown on the LabVault App Store product page.
Children's information
LabVault is not directed to children under 13. An adult may create a local profile to organize a dependent's records. CoGenesis Lab does not knowingly collect a child's information from the app because this version transmits no records to us.
Security and limitations
You may enable App Lock to use Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode. CoGenesis Lab never receives biometric data. No security system is absolute, and an unlocked device may expose records if App Lock is disabled. OCR may be incomplete or incorrect; always refer to the original report.
Medical disclaimer
LabVault is for personal record organization only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always refer to the original laboratory report and consult a qualified healthcare professional. LabVault is not presented as a medical device or as HIPAA certified or compliant.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as LabVault changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. For privacy or support questions, use the contact method listed on the LabVault App Store product page or visit LabVault Support.
